Winemaker Diego Finocchi lives on the northern side of Radda in Chianti, in the heartland of the Tuscan wine-making region. Indeed, the name Erta translates to a steep slope which describes the landscape of Diego's home and his vineyard. At the age of 24, Diego took a punt and bought 5 hectares of a small vineyard next door to the famous Montevertine winery and took a great step towards his dream of becoming a winemaker. In 2009, Diego achieved this dream and began producing his own Chianti Classico and he has been producing quality wines ever since. Following Diego's great respect for the land and environment which supports him and his family, the vintage at L'Erta di Radda is done completely manually and the winemaking process is totally organic.

This wine is made from Trebbiano and Malvasia grapes which after being manually gathered are brought directly into the wine cellar to avoid premature fermentation and oxidation. The result is a crisp, fresh white wine with great minerality that is perfect for all occasions.
